Are you insured?

All licensed movers must be insured. You can check with the PUC (Public Utilities Commission) San Francisco office for current license verification. The required insurance for cargo is based on the weight of the cargo valued at 60 cents a pound reimbursement. Movers can sell you additional protection - either actual cash value or full replacement. Our company always provides full replacement value at no additional cost.

Do your employees speak English?

Are the movers your regular employees?

The movers who will be at your place on the day of the move are directly responsible to Ben, the owner. The average length of service is over five years for the crew members.

Do you provide moving supplies?

On moving day, the trucks are equipped with wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes that you may use at no charge. The trucks are further fully equipped with dollies, moving pads, straps etc. Extra materials such as shrink wrap, paper pads and boxes are available for a charge. These materials are available to better protect your items and cannot be reused.

You may purchase moving supplies with us with free delivery included. We can also suggest places to purchase supplies at discount prices.

Do you have your own trucks?

Yes. We have three trucks of different sizes to appropriately accommodate the moving task and location(s). We are also able to access rental trucks when needed.

How far will you move?

We generally move within a 100 mile radius. We will assist to facilitate moves further out of this area.

What is your hourly rate?

Two men and a truck: $120.00 per hour with $50.00 for each additional mover

Packers: $50.00 per hour plus the cost of materials

Can I get a free estimate?

Yes, contact us for a free estimate. We also suggest additional estimates from other moving companies, with particular attention to their insurance policy. Check our online estimate form. Only estimates done in person are considered legitimate and valid. Please contact us with enough time ahead for us to schedule an appointment.

What needs to be packed?

Most all non furniture items will need to be packed. Small electronics (VCR, DVD etc.), computers, table lamps, lamp shades, small kitchen appliances (mixers, toaster ovens, cuisinarts, espresso makers) will need to be packed. Dishes will need to be packed. Art work may need to be specifically packed/crated.  Items such as marble tables, glass shelves, will also need special attention.

What do we need to leave empty?

What can we leave filled? (only with non breakable items)

Should I tip the movers and how much?

Tipping is a customer issue. Moving is considered a service industry. Tips are always appreciated and should not be solicited. If you do tip, do not include in the check to the moving company. Please give a tip to each individual mover so they have an opportunity to thank you.

Should we provide snacks and drinks?

On a long day, beverages would be appreciated. No alcoholic beverages are permitted. Bottled water is best.

What time do you arrive?

We generally start jobs between 8:30 am-9:00 am arrival time, Monday through Saturday. We can arrange other start times if needed.

What will the day’s schedule look like?

We will arrive and do a walk through of the premises. Paperwork will be filled out. We will then begin to load the truck. Before leaving the premises, we will walk through the premises again to make sure we have everything to be moved. On our way to the new location, we usually take a break. This break time is not charged to the customer. We then arrive at your new location and unload the truck.

When do I make the payment?

We accept cash or check including personal checks at the completion of the move.
